Meet The Team

Mike Kkama

Founder & Director

Mike Kkama is the proud Founder of Position-specific Coaching Ltd (est. 2016).

Born and raised in London, Mike played football up to academy and county level as a teenager and at 16 made the step into men's semi-professional football.

He was privileged enough to be coached by several ex-professional footballers and their different coaching and communication styles fascinated him from a young age.

Upon graduating from Brunel University (London) with a degree in Sports Sciences, he moved to Chicago (USA) for 4 years to coach. It was there he realised he was living his dream as a full-time coach of youth footballers.

With more than 15 years of full-time football coaching experience to his name, Mike feels more passionate about seeing young players develop in their football today than ever before.

He maintains a fully-booked 1 to 1 PSC Private coaching schedule year-round with many of his players travelling long distances each week to train with him. He prides himself on helping players of all ages and stages to continuously reach their next level one step at a time and has helped many players progress from local football into academy football, as well as through academy football into full-time scholarship and professional contracts.

It is vital to Mike that every single player that comes to PSC receives the attention, encouragement and expertise they deserve. He is extremely grateful to both his coaching staff and to the parents of the players for caring about positively impacting the lives of the players, on and off the pitch, as much as he does.

Keith Bertschin

Keith has both played and coached professionally for over 20 years. A UEFA Pro licence holder, Keith has coached at the very pinnacle of English football when he coached in the Premier League as First Team Coach & Assistant Manager to Steve Bruce at Hull City.

He has also coached at Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic and Sunderland where he put on training sessions with top professionals and international players on a daily basis.

As a player, Keith scored over 100 professional goals in over 400 professional games. This includes making over 100 appearances for both Birmingham City & Norwich City where he scored 29 league goals for each.

Of equal, if not more, importance to Keith’s wealth of professional playing and coaching experience is his undeniable love for the game and for working with young players. Since joining PSC in 2018, Keith has carried with him a positive energy that is infectious to those around him and it is no surprise why our players of all ages and stages absolutely love working with him.

Alex Prosser

As a player, Alex came up through the ranks at Aston Villa. Signing for the club aged 7, he progressed right the way through the age groups before signing as a professional aged 17. After 3 years as a pro playing for the club’s under-23s side he made the switch to men’s first team football in 2019, and now plays professionally for Brackley Town FC in the National League North.

Alex showed an early interest in coaching when he undertook a couple of his coaching badges while still a young pro at Aston Villa.

Built on an extremely encouraging nature, Alex's organisation and attention-to-detail in his coaching is first class and he has proven himself to be a truly outstanding coach for PSC since joining in 2019.

Sam Batchelor

Sam, born and raised in Solihull, is a coach who possesses great leadership, organisation and knowledge of the game.

A full-time coach for PSC, Sam coaches across all of our programmes and demonstrates extremely high standards of coaching and leadership at each. He plays a particularly big role in our PSC Schools programme where he coaches at local primary schools in Solihull Monday through Friday, where the students absolutely love him!

Having played local football his whole life, Sam admits he wishes PSC was around in Solihull for him when we was a young player looking to improve in every area of his game! Despite still playing weekly with friends, Sam's true passion in football now lies in helping the next generation of players become the best people and players they can be.

Joe Richards

As a former PSC player himself, Joe was invited to join our coaching staff in 2017 when he was just 17 years old after his leadership skills and passion as a player were so very impressive.

Initially, Joe came in to work with our very youngest players to gain valuable experience in coaching the fundamentals of the game. A few years on, he now coaches at every age-group across all of our weekly programmes, as well as in our PSC Private and PSC Team Coaching programmes, where he coaches 1-to-1 and team sessions each week.

Confident, positive and ultra professional, Joe takes great pride in delivering fantastic sessions week in, week out for PSC.

This fantastic gesture has resulted in George becoming a role model to so many young goalkeepers, as well as developing into a fine goalkeeper coach himself.

Fast forward 4 years, George has become a key member of our goalkeeping staff where he ensures our goalkeepers enjoy themselves and progress session on session.
